About Me

Who I Am

Hi, I'm Em (she/they). I am passionate about providing equitable, inclusive, and strengths-based mental health care to those navigating life's challenges. I believe in the power of therapy to foster healing, growth, and connection. My approach is centered around meeting you where you are and supporting you as the whole person you are.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have provided therapy in-home and in community settings, facilitated a teen LGBTQ+ support group, and am now working in my own office. I support folks navigating trauma, learning new skills for coping, and exploring their own identities. I am committed to creating a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space for all individuals.

Outside of work, I am participating in community spaces where my values align, enjoying spending time with my dog, and crocheting or knitting.

My Approach

My approach is informed by both my formal education and my personal commitment to social justice, healing, and growth. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and I am continually fueled by my work with individuals who are navigating complex intersections of identity. â€‹

Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to reach your goals. I use a combination of EMDR (and other trauma-informed approaches), DBT, and a person-centered framework to ensure that my clients feel heard, empowered, and supported.

Some of the areas I specialize in include:

  • Trauma/Anxiety/Depression

  • Identity Exploration/LGBTQIA+/Polyamory/Non-Monogamy

  • Neurodivergent Support

It can be difficult to take the first step, but I am confident that therapy is a powerful tool for growth, and I am here to support you every step of the way. I look forward to the opportunity to work together and support you. I am a licensed therapist in both Wisconsin and Minnesota. If you’re ready to start the therapeutic process or want to learn more about how we can work together, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can work to meet your goals.
