How much does a therapy session cost?

The rate is $150 per therapy session. The therapy session is 53 minutes from the scheduled session time.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we may be a good therapeutic fit based on your needs and how I may able to support you. Please contact me to set up a free consultation.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes, if you cancel less than 48 hours before the scheduled session time, you will be charged the full session rate ($145). If you cancel 48 hours or more before the scheduled session time, you will not be charged.

Do you accept health insurance?

I do not accept health insurance for payment. I am able to provide a super bill if needed for your insurance. A super bill can be submitted to your insurance company if your plan offers reimbursements for out of network services. You can contact your insurance plan to see if they offer reimbursement for super bills for mental health therapy before starting. You are responsible for providing that documentation to your insurance provider and negotiating costs with them.

What is a super bill and how does it work?

A super bill is a summary of all the healthcare services you have received. The process is:
1. You see me for an individual therapy session.
2. After the session, you pay $145.
3. I create a super bill, including information about your session, your diagnosis, treatment plan, and the amount you paid, and send that to you.
4. You submit the super bill to your insurance company.
5. If your insurance company and plan will cover your service, they reimburse you.

Please note that if you wish to work with insurance, I am required to provide a diagnosis.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency session, including therapy. You can ask your therapist for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a session.
